II. The Exploitation

We wake to seek from sea to sea
A place to live a place to be
Here's some for you here's some for me
We'll take it all for free

Just look at all the animals
Within a land without walls
Let's butcher those we've put in stalls
How else to eat when hunger calls?

What harm can ever come to us
The Earth is always here for us
As long as it will bear for us
There's nothing we need fear

We'll use the rivers and the streams
To flush our overflowing dreams
With byproducts of toxic creams
Until the silent water screams

We'll burn the forest if it sells
We'll burn the air until it smells
We'll burn the oil, we'll burn the wells
We'll even burn ourselves

It's not too late to take some more
It's all on sale--there's goods galore--
We'll clear the shelves, pay at the door,
No need to stock the store

We love the land to death we do
We love the sky both black and blue
But for an easy buck or two
We all can live without the view

What harm can ever come to us
The Earth is always here for us
As long as it will bear for us
There's nothing we need fear
